A descendant of exploration activities that began in 1948 and resulted in wells still producing today, Adams Resources Exploration takes a conservative and astute approach to its business.

This includes aligning ourselves with highly competent, successful operating partners, leveraging our investments through diverse prospects and limiting capital exposure by controlling our working interest level.

AREC has expanded its operations into Resource Plays in addition to the conventional plays in the Gulf Coast. We have been active in the development of the Haynesville Shale in East Texas and now own interest in a large number of producing dry gas wells. These wells are holding our acreage position in the area until further drilling can be justified by higher gas prices. In addition we are active in the successful development of the Wolfcamp Shale in West Texas. This activity is expected to continue for at least two more years.

We have large acreage positions in Arkansas and Kansas near the developing Mississippian Lime play. We also have a large acreage position in the Eagle Ford trend in South Texas.
